If a project like this is capable of winning the Landscape of the Year award, then God help us- and the landscape arretthciuce profession. Either the standard is too low, or the organizers are pandering to the host city. Either way, the jury is rigged!
“Si Dios quiere” (if God wants) is a common expression in Spanish. People use that as an appendage to virtually statement or promise. Missionaries would typically respond, “Si’, Dios quiere!” (that’s an accent on the i in Si), which then translates as “Yes, God Wants!”).I still find myself automatically saying it to myself when I hear someone saying, “God Willing” or “si Dios quiere”.
